Become a passing master with Hyundai and Chelsea FC

Learn how to become a passing master with Hyundai and Chelsea FC in this week’s ‘Home Advantage’ video
We proudly launched Hyundai FC ‘Home Advantage’ in partnership with Chelsea FC last week to help budding footballers up and down the country develop their skills during the COVID-19 lockdown.
The first video, ‘Home Advantage: Dribbling’, featured Christian Pulisic and Michy Batshuayi, with Senior Chelsea Foundation coach Andrew Ottley taking you through four different types of dribbling drills, each one a must for any young player.
In this week’s video, ‘Home Advantage: Passing’, young Chelsea FC sensation Billy Gilmour and Foundation coach Nathan Philip will focus on some key passing practices for you to try at home – all you need is a football, something to pass it against - like a wall or with a family member - and a few household items.
Have a go at the four passing drills demonstrated by Billy and Nathan and don’t forget to film yourself and share your attempts online using #HyundaiFC for the chance to win some prizes.
Home Advantage is part of our Hyundai FC grassroots programme, which has allowed us to impact over 200 grassroots players throughout the UK. However, with the programme on hold, as the nation follows government guidelines to stay at home, we are bringing Hyundai FC to homes across the nation to help you improve your game using the expertise of the Chelsea Foundation coaches and first team players.
Chelsea Foundation International Development Manager Ian Woodroffe said:
“Home Advantage is a great initiative that allows kids to keep practicing their game at home during these challenging times. It is really important that kids stay active even though they are spending more time at home. With Home Advantage, we want to provide them with some exercises that they can safely recreate at home, and that can be applied to their game once they’re back on the football pitch.”
Have you mastered dribbling and passing already? Stay tuned for our new episode coming out next week, which will be focusing on turning. Remember, when practicing these drills, you should adapt them to your environment to keep safe and make the best out of them.
